A historical tobacco, together with Virginia, it was the first North American tobacco imported into Europe. It belongs to the class of light air-cured tobaccos, excellent for those who want to try their hand at the art of blending, giving their blends a touch of precious flavor but, at the same time, an excellent all day the round and spicy aromas. Today, Maryland is produced in South Africa, China, Japan and Italy. In each of these productions, the tobacco is hybridized so that it adapts to the different territories, for example, the Italian one is crossed with oriental Herzegovina tobacco. A particular quality of Maryland is the Maryland Broadleaf. The characteristic of this tobacco lies in the cultivation and care that take place exclusively in the American state of the same name.
